Children's Advisory Commission of Indiana County
Improving outcomes for children, adolescents, and their families in Indiana County, Pennsylvania
250 Independence Challenge
The 250 Challenge, sponsored by the Children’s Advisory Commission of Indiana County, is all about growth, choices, and the journey toward independence.

Students in 2nd–8th grade are invited to take on fun challenges, build new skills, and try new things. You don’t have to complete every activity—choose what interests you and even come up with your own ideas! Each activity is designed to help you discover your strengths and grow your independence.
Asking for help is part of the journey—staying connected with parents or caregivers helps you stay safe, supported, and strong along the way.

Your mission: Earn 250 points by completing independent activities by July 31, 2026. Points depend on how bold or new each activity is. Each square in the booklet is a place for you to share a piece of your story.
For each activity you complete, fill in one square with:
-
Date you completed the activity
-
Picture, Drawing, or Description of:
-
What you did
-
How it made you feel
-
Complete the Reflection Worksheet and submit that and your Challenge Packet to one of the participating locations:
-
Burrell Township Library, Black Lick
-
Lone Oak Farm, Marion Center
-
The Paper Garden, Indiana
-
Catty Wampus Co., Indiana
Rewards: Receive a prize for your efforts and be entered into the Grand Prize drawing on August 4, 2026!
